💌 Self-Compassion During COVID-19 💌

One of the things I have noticed a need for during the COVID-19 crisis more than ever is self-compassion. With massive disruptions in routine and extra stress, I am finding it all too easy to start criticising or putting unreasonable pressure on myself.

I’ve found that I have had to be extra conscious of pausing, and listening to my internal dialogue. I then ask myself if this is reasonable and would I be saying these things to a loved one. Would I be telling them they ‘should be exercising’ or they ‘have to cook homemade dinners every night for the kids’? The answer is ‘no’ I wouldn’t. I would remind them that this is a unique period and hence things will be different for a while. For more on this topic, check out my video below.
