Overcoming Sleep Difficulties: 1. Keep the bed for sleep only

Following on from my last video where I discuss how sleep problems arise, in this video I talk to you about how to start overcoming sleep difficulties. First off the mark is 1. Keep the bed for sleep only.

Remember how I discussed in the last video that we want to condition the bedroom as a place of sleep? Not as a place of wakefulness? Well step 1 in doing this is to start making the bed a place where we only sleep – i.e. we don’t do other activities like: watching TV, working, studying, having problem-solving conversations with our partner. These activities need to be kept outside of the bedroom! This will help start reconditioning the bed as a place for sleep.
